CarFest North 2014 - Oulton Park

Well, what can I say, despite the thunder, lightning, torrential rain all threatening to spoil the weekend, no-one could not be put off at CarFest North in the grounds of Oulton Park!

What a fabulous team at CarFest, even with the grounds, marquees and campsites becoming flooded, every member of the team remained calm in the face of adversity, sorting us all out so everyone could enjoy the fabulous spirit that is the CarFest event. A very BIG thank you guys!

For us it was great to see all the usual traders including Pate & Wine, Yarty, Hedonist Bakery, Wilces Cider, Scrubby's Crisps, who have now become friends united in supporting Pudsey and Children in Need.

We had the delight of seeing Christine from The Great British Bake Off and hearing all about her experiences on the show with Mary and Paul.

We were totally mesmerised by the bravado of the contestants taking part in the chilli eating competition organised by the Wiltshire Chilli Farm – way to go!

On Sunday morning the top man himself, Chris Evans, came into the Best of British tent and organised all us producers into a group photo session (shame we've been cropped off the left, or is it!).

The music and fireworks were amazing too. Working our lttle socks off, we didn’t get chance to see all the acts but of those we did: Seasick Steve, Scouting for Girls, Simple Minds, 10CC and Sophie Ellis-Bexter, before we crashed out, exhausted!

So are we looking forward to CarFest South? You bet we are!
